Family 3. Walter McGeorge and Helen McLellan

Walter was born about 1767 and died after 1793. He married Helen McLellan. Their marriage and children are not in the Old Parish Registers of Scotland (OPRs) I only found their names from the death certificates of 2 of their children

1. Jane McGeorge was born about 1787 in Parton Kirkcudbrightshire and died 1871 in Kirkpatrick Durham. She married John Barclay/Barkley in 1810 Kirkpatrick Durham. John was a carrier and also the innkeepr at the Plough in the village.

They had 9 children. Some of their descendants live in Australia



2. James McGeorge married Mary Copland/Coupland Some descendants of this family live in USA and South Africa
